Description
Soil Moisture Sensors allow the control unit to determine how much water your plants are actually receiving. In the Smart Greenhouse web application, you can select the desired irrigation level on a scale from 0% to 100%. Whenever soil moisture drops below the target level, the control unit automatically activates irrigation for the corresponding circuit.
The Smart Greenhouse can manage a single irrigation circuit when equipped with one valve, or two independent irrigation circuits when used with a valve module. This solution is particularly appreciated by gardeners growing plants with different watering requirements. It allows the greenhouse to be divided into two separate zones, each with its own irrigation settings.
If you are looking for a more economical option, the Smart Greenhouse can also operate without soil moisture sensors. In this case, irrigation is performed at regular intervals. Using the web application, you can define how often each circuit should be activated and how long irrigation should run.
Soil moisture sensors help create better growing conditions while reducing unnecessary water consumption. During hot, sunny days, evaporation inside the greenhouse can be significant, while on cloudy days irrigation may not be needed at all. With soil moisture sensors, watering takes place only when it is truly necessary.
